5 things to do before adding weight on the snatch

List of things to do before adding weight on the snatch.  This should take about 20 minutes to do as long as you are present (no phone). 

  1. Get your blood flowing through some light movement
  2. Do mobility drills in order to get into a good bottom position.  Focus on hips, ankles, and shoulders usually.  
  3. Do some complexes with just the bar.  The Burgener Warm Up is a pretty famous one, but you can make up your own that helps you with your technique issues.
  4. Do full snatches with the bar so that they closely mimic what your best 85-90% snatch would look like.  
  5. Chalk up!
